Hungarian Party

A bunch of Hungarian exchange students organised a mini party at their kollegium in Brabrand. Hence, hl, me, mira, aika and anura decided to attend the party. Missing the earlier bus, we spent the rest of our free time engaging in self absorbant activities such as taking photos of ourselves.

Upon stepping into bus 15, we were taunted by a bunch of young (say 11-13 years old?) and rowdy middle eastern boys. It was common to see these immigrants as the bus was going through a route where all the immigrants were residing in. Though we didn't understand what the hell they were blabbering, we knew it was all directed at us Asians. Peeved and controlling our blood boiling anger in us, one of them had to break the camel's back by playing with Ling's hair. 'Excuse me, can you please don't touch me!' she shrieked loudly. The bus was in momentarily silence. To get back at Ling, they launched into menacing verbal attacks at her by shouting 'you mother fucking bitch' and one even tried to imitate her in a sacarstic manner -'please don't touch me!'. Fortunantely, the bus driver was fully aware of what was going on. He stopped the bus and told the culprit of the taunting to get out. Desperately trying to defend himself, it was until a beefy looking danish commuter who stood up and told him to buzz off. The bus scooted off leaving the poor pathetic fool cursing and swearing at the bus stop. Serve the bugger right for distubring us.
It is sad that this is merely a tip of the ice berg. With the danish government facing so much pressure in integrating these 2nd generation immigrants into the society, it is no wonder that these people are poorly educated; growing up in an unfitting environment; and thus vent their frustrations by creating alot of social problems such as discriminating those of other races, stealing, mucking around, robbing others etc.

With our moods slightly dampened by the incident, we tried our best to immerse ourselves into the party. We were served Hungarian delicacies namely goulash (meat stew with potatoes and carrots) and a traditional hungarian dessert known as kipli. It's some sort of pastry with poppy seeds or apple filling. It had a peculiar and rather interesting taste to it. The stew however, could have been a little more spicy. Not trying to brag, and acknowledging the fact that many of my foreign friends found it way too hot, but really, it barely tickled our spice buds. Guess we've been too well trained back home when it comes to hot and spicy food. *grinz*

Ling looking really pissed off after the incident.

Zofie, of Hungarian origin but studies in Austria. Wasn't she an excellent hostess?

The party wound up with Spanish girls entertaining us with their singing, photo taking, chatting , a toast of deadly alcoholic concentrated (reckon it was 75%!?) (I thinkHungarian brewed )liquor and partying at social club. Poor huiling is down with a sore throat due to the alcohol. Get well soon babe=/
