It was so much fun doing this Malay Skit with Carol, Serah, Aiwei and Yee Sen. We were all immersed into our roles and it was so hilarious!! The class laughed their guts out.I love working with people who are so spontaneous. I'm glad I had this opportunity to work with them in my final year. Anway, we acted out a skit set in a classroom. And the cast consists of one hiao girl (me la), STupid girl (Carol), Mischievious girl (Aiwei), Nerd on the outside but thief in reality (Serah) and an exasperated Teacher (Yee Sen). I guess you can all guess why we were put into the individual characters. Hahaha....Anway, here are some of the photos in which we took for our presentation. They were meant to produce 'evidence' for Serah's stealing incident in the midst of taking narcissistic photos of myself. Really crazy!!

Also, I want to thank Shasha,for composing the following poem for me so that I could recite during the skit. It was nerve wrecking memorising the poem but girl, I brought justice to your wonderful poem by articulating it with gusto, passion and pride. And of course, after hours of practice, it's stuck in my head. Without further a do, my bimbotic poem--just imagine me swaying my flowers in the air as I recited the following poem. (Yes, I did it!!)

Di manakah boleh kamu cari
Where can you find

Seseorang gadis jelita seperti saya
A pretty girl like me

Menawan hatimu dengan mataku
Attract your heart with my eyes.

Peninatku ramai, seluruh dunia
My suitors are many, throughout the world.

Jikalau aku ratu hatimu
If I am your heart’s treasure

Jangan lupa bunga rampaiku
Don’t forget flower

Dan hadiahkan mereka setiap hari
And to give them to me everyday

Supaya hatiku tidak akan lari.
So that my heart will not run away.

Look! Serah is stealing Carol's money!!

Jen and Sha-haha

Four years ago, a daunting and stressful day for me at ACJC went by relatively unscathed because I was sheltered by the immensely warm and fun company of Jen, Sha and Zhen. From 18 to 22, it went by in a split second-all being forced to grow up even more just when we thought we had enough of ACJC's little mini 'real world'. However, each and everyone of you have all emerged to be beautiful, tough and kick ass intelligent ladies-ready to take on the battle of everyday. Except that we know that we are living for ourselves this time.
I am proud of all of you.
To the one who coined the phrase 'i-don't-eat-mushrooms-because-they-look-retarded',Jen, have an absolutely smashing birthday today. I look foward to your extravagant birthday brunch because cheesy as it sounds, -though my pockets may run dry...but i know our friendship never will.
Because, you're a great way to fly*winks*

Just want to Thank a certain special 'auntie' for arranging an interview with Platinum Securities for me. If everything goes well, I might be going to Hong Kong for internship from December till February. It's a cool job as it's about financial consulting and that's where I want to be in the future! Plus it's a busy prominent financial hub. Anyway, I shall see what the internship entail before I make my final decision. So far Mum is pretty supportive! And that's a slight relieve for me.
This fairy god auntie sure knows her way to life and relationships. Maybe it's true what the Datuk Ng fella (some politician in Malaysia) made in his speech during our Gene Cell field trip dinner at the Reinassance Hotel in Melacca.
Well, to sum it up, one must learn to not inconvenience your business partners; to be agreeable and tackle your way through to a solution; and to make friends without having any intentions to make use of them and in the process, maintaining a good and lasting relationship.

I'm not a smart cookie.So I shall struggle and rummage through life's journey in a street smart way. Must learn more from auntie.

Serah, Me and Carol and at the back we have smileys-Chandik, Bryan and Kellyn

Thorny but delicious dragon fruit plant.

Flowers of Durian Tree-professionally taken by prissy

The bus journey that ached our butts but left smiles hanging.

Meeting long lost GP tuition friend, Alina on the trip.

That's Prof and KTV Queen Carol having a threesome.

Yen San and Si ling-my 2 group mates for gene cell project. They are so petite I think the wind could easily disperse them.

And lastly, that's our class posing at our 5 start hotel in Melacca.Thumbs up to the beds there. The duvet, mattress, and pillows were so comfortable I think I was deeply rooted onto the bed. I was almost late for breakfast and departure. Grr.

Singapore stinks even more with the deplorable haze. I remembered this same situation when I was like a primary 4 kid or something. That was when Singapore TV had the PSI levels flashed at the upper left hand corner of the screen. I recalled it risen to dangerous levels of 100 odd or so. Now, the PSI level is about 80. Just as toxic to our lungs. Freaking Sumatra and their illegal forest burning is causing all this problem! Some odd balls out there likened this haziness as a reflection of the problems in life and some turned to haze addicts -inhaling every carbon monoxide, dust particles and what not like pure oxygen. Friends of mine are not helping by smoking even more and blowing their second hand smoke into my face. I'm seriously contemplating wearing a mask when I step outside of the house. Like seriously. Not kidding.
Sheesh.
It's causing me a big headache and making me really grouchy and pissed. I'm just going to hide in every air conditioned places thatI can find! I even felt asthmatic climbing up the slope home...driving home was just so blurry everywhere! Argh....
God, chase away the smelly...before I die of poisonous gases!

I found a quote that most aptly put forth the message behind this absolutely endearing movie. One of the best I've watched so far this year-

To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882)

AFA=All FAil.

hahahaa....the sentiments we all had after going through a grueling time doing our Advanced Financial Accounting quiz.
It's ok. We commoners have to mug harder to reach the same finishing line.

Finally, it's term break. And I got quite a few projects, job applications, studying to do. Not quite a break eh? Think it's time to get our act together!
