How I Spent My Weekend ..(my version, not 8 days')

To sum up with one word-Hectic. The weekend was packed starting on Friday. Km and I went supermarketing at 3 am in the morning as I anticipated not having the liberty of using the car over the weekend to run my errands. I swear it wasn't funny finding mango chutney from the myriad food shelves of Mustaffa. Not knowing where to classify mango chutney under the 'jams' or 'condiment' didn't help the situation either. haha. But nevertheless, we managed to buy all that we needed for the Sunday's SNGS graduation party.

Saturday afternoon was spent preparing some sauces to compliment my all time favourite chicken quesadillas for Sunday's party. A yummy dish that I'd learnt from my housemates while exchanging in Denmark. With loads of time and effort put into making the dish, I found myself hastily dolling myself up for the Graduation night for Seniors at Ritz Carlton. Not that being late for the prom wasn't bad enough, I actually got stuck inside Suntec City's carpark for more than an hour -circling round and round for parking lots and getting deceived by the number of so called 'vacant lots' when in actuality they were reserved for VIPs. wadeverrr.

A nice photo taken my km while posing at the reception table. Disclosure: This was after 10 layers of DI processing.

Thank God the night was saved with good food, ambience, meeting up and taking photos with some friends whom I'm going to miss upon leaving SMU. Oh, and guess what? Km won a lucky draw! The most embarrassing thing was that I thought the lucky draw was mine since we placed both of our ticket tabs side by side. I was too exhilarated to realise that. That's because these past few times we've been very lucky and blessed enough to win some really nice prizes from luck draws. Really a windfall of blessings. Km, being the sweet bf, saw me happily claiming his prize and claiming his glory. hahaha.Sorry km....but guess what, the estee lauder's in my hands now!

So, Sunday came and there I was rushing around like a chambermaid the moment I woke up. Chop onion, slice chicken, fry ingredients, last minute grocery shopping and what have yous. Blessed with fine weather, the party in the evening went really well. An interesting crowed we had with km, jeremy and I bringing our own friends together. A well mix of personalities and everyone made friends in the midst of good food and booze. To km, jay, ryan, kenneth, Jeremy, edwin, shu, hoi, pat, mag, reina, poh hwee, zhen , desmond, elgin, rajiv and allen -thanks for making this party a success and a pleasant one. Loads of perspectives to churn out on this one.

Zhen, looking resplendent, poised and elegant. Rock on, cool girl!

Sundays.
Went to New Creation today with KM and Hoi to have a look what it's like. Felt really refreshed in His presence again. So cool! Kinda totally wiped away the crappy feeling km and i were experiencing before we got screwed by my mother. Km took a cab down to my house so that he could drive me to church knowing that i've been absolutely tired for the past few days. Coincidentally, mum who was on her way back, managed to witness km getting onto the driver's seat. Furious, she screamed at me saying that she didnt give me the permission to let him drive and he's not covered by insurance. Sigh. But anyway it was indeed for the better..coz apparently, km witnessed 5 accidents throughout the day! As for me, while driving along thomson road, right ahead of me were complete darkness and a traffic jam. The street lamps were all spoilt as one of them actually crashed in the middle of the road. sheesh..Thank God for his blessings and protection. Hope no one was hurt tho.

The night before, I experienced a huge heavy downpour while driving home from km's place. The roads were slippery;my vision was impaired by the splattering of the rain on my wind screen. I felt as if the journey home was extended to a couple of miles more and felt really scared. 5 minutes after a quick prayer beneath my breath, somewhere along thomson road was totally dry and not a spot of rain. Phew. Thank Him for answering to my prayers.

Jodeci-Lately

Yup, this has made it to my list of wedding songs to be played on my special day. Much better than the Stevie Wonder's original version.

I've finally graduated after 4 exciting years in SMU. Really. I'm not trying to be all patriotic and stuff but I must say that the majority of my very close (and those peripheral but strongly connected) SMU friends are intelligent, unassuming, hilarious...well..basically friends who will last for a very long time. =) And thanks to you guys, I really can say my university life was brilliantly meaningful to me. All towards a positive growth and energy! Glad that I will still be able to meet the most of you at One Raffles Quay when I start working for EY in mid-august. Presenting some photos taken at the Suntec City convention hall where our commencement was held on Saturday. Bear with me while I express my gratitude to all of u...

Honestly, I couldn't recognise myself wearing the gown. That's adrian on the right hand side of the photo. This boy was my chauffer-great buddy-entertainer-withloadsofteenageavrilangst 17 year old all jumbled in one.
That's my lao pa (left) and brother (right). I really thank my Dad for his immense support. I'm so glad that the 4 years in SMU-including my time throughout exchange has made me understand and gain greater respect for him. And most importantly, he's so proud of me(despite not getting any honours or wad). yays!

Sis-the best friend at home. I mean what can I say..she even had to last minute iron my shirt in the morning! sheesh..anw Mum's not here though I would have loved to give her a big fat hug.
Jie jie poo was so excited to take pictures with km and me. I'm glad I found a gem in my life. You geeky, smart(magna lorh!don prae prae), handsome, brother..I mean bf of mine. Thank God for his blessings.

First year was filled with so much fun coz of these guys. Zing, welcome home!

Anisa, Wansin, Sean and Esther..Miss seeing all of them.

OBS/cluster group-comprising peeps like carol, cheryl, serah, ford, jeremy, deb, adrian, hl, esther, wans, sean, elgin, anisa etc.... Thanks for the wonderful memories in SMU.

Congratulations hoiwen! You've finally graduated. Hoiwen is one person whom I'm really proud of. For the determination and preseverance she went through; and despite all obstacles, she really excelled and turned out to be one fine gorgeous lady. =)
