Exchange Fever

And so, yesterday was the party everyone was waiting for. The highlight of their week..spending hours just pondering what costumes to wear. Just gearing up their social skills and looks. Well, all I did was wore my oriental looking jacket from Singapore, coupled with my favourite white beret and leather boots from aussie and off I went to hit the kollegium(dorm) of Brabrand. Though I was feeling really cold in the winter with just a piece of trench coat as my protective shell, I braced myself against the icy winds for as long as I looked impossibly stunning. (Yes la, im damn hiao)

My beautiful trench coat from H&M(right)

A funny thing about Europeans is that when they see something oriental, they search desperately into their limited minds for something Chinese they could barely associate with. To exemplify what i'm trying to say, here is a conversation between an Ang Mor and me.

Ang Mor (Danish guy): Hi, where are you from? By the way, I really like your jacket.
Ser: Yea, thanks. It's meant to be oriental. I'm from Singapore.
AM: ok, it really reminds me of the movie crouching dragon...ermmmm...( looking really perplexed)

Ser: You mean the movie 'Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon'?
AM: YEA!!! That one. Your jacket reminds me of that movie.
Ser:.....

I'm going to just say this once again because this part of the entry got deleted before-
but anyway here goes:
The thing about what I think about 'ang mors' is that their knowledge is just so minute and limited. That's the thing that got them into trouble. That's the reason why the Danes are hated by the world, because of their ignorance, their insensitivty and all the she bang about freedom of speech and democracy has just plain baleful effect on others because they're just conjuring the whole thing in the wrong sense! Educate yourselves people!

My friends have dumped me for Italy.
But least I got to enjoy the fullness of my exchange.

My Dream Wedding Bouquet

Pernille, my Danish neighbour, bought me this pot of lovely daffodils.
First ever received in my life
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never - ending line
Along the margin of a bay;
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out - did the sparkling waves in glee.
