SNGS
Hoiwen, Pat, Weiyi, Ruiling and I decided to catch a last glimpse of St nicks before it gets demolished in a couple of months time. Apparently the school has started executing plans in tearing down both the primary and secondary blocks. Well, I'm sure those of us who have many fond memories of the school will see this as a nightmare. Our school is how freaking gorgeous?! Stepping into St nicks was like taking a short trip back to history-- peppered with memories of hopscotch sessions, water battles, anti-gravity toilet papers plastered on ceilings, family dance (more like a propaganda exercise to worship our principal then), the good o' wholesome orange bowl meals during recess, chicken rice auntie, ice milo, wanton and having to face teachers with perpetual pms angst.
The SNGS canteen touts the cheapest and most delicious food in Singapore. No kidding!
Pat and Hoiwen--thanks for making SNGS the best time of my life.
Weiyi, Ruiling and I posing at the bridge which connects the secondary and primary school blocks. I remembered smuggling ikan bilis from the canteen by running across the bridge as fast as I could!
The picture above shows our famous koi pond and there inscribes the words 'yin shui si yuen': which basically reminds one not to forget their roots. As cliche as it can be, it's beautiful don't you think?I used to throw 5 cent coins into the pond so that my wish of getting fantastic results for my tests would come true! On recollection, I should have thrown in a dollar. haha. (yes, it didn't work.grr)

The Design and Technology Room was one of my favourite hideouts in St Nicks. Mr Ng would always entertain us with his stories and I used to pester him to do my D&T projects!
Hoi outside the primary music room (area rumoured from past generations to be haunted.*roll eyes*)
Whatever it is, I always believe that a St nicks girl will always remain a St nicks girl whether a not she has graduated 7 years ago. Albeit the usual taunting from friends about our silly sewn on school badge and whatever stigma attached to IJ girls, I'm proud to be an SN girl (now, what do you want to do about it huh?!*heh*) for the fact that it has shaped me to be the person that I am right now. I would like to think that I've turned out really fine. *grinz*.
