Ho Chi Minh Special 8-11 Dec 07

What a fantastic trip I had with these girls! Namely Mag, Pat and Poh Hwee. My good o pals from SNGS (*oosh*)! Though it remained largely unplanned, but everything fell nicely for us.
What I liked about HCM is its imprefect perfectness-its streets were littered with dust, motorbikes; a cacophony of sounds ranging from the gentle haggling of stall owners at night markets to the resounding beeping of motorbikes and cars till you can never dream of a peaceful night. But yet, the city is vibrant and alive. We pretty much had good and cheap vietnamese food everyday; educated ourselves through museum and field trip outings; experienced the rustic lifestyle of villagers by the mekong river and had the best mojito drink ever only at Q bar! Thanks for the company girls...we still have more trips to plan for soon!

Yummy waffles crisp-authentically prepared by the road side.

Patsy pie!

District 1: the old and the modern, a sprinkle of parisan flavour and a dollop of viet.

Hot babes and alcohol. Someone sound the alarm!

Q Bar-our favourite haunt just right outside our hotel

Beef pho (from pho 24)-Nothing beats waking up to a hot bowl of beef pho broth

and Vietnamese drip coffee. Aromatic!
The Gang ho and can do (can carry) spirit that is truely admirable.

Viet pride-Vietnam Vs Laos in soccer 2-1.

And their national pride lives forever
